BUFFALO, NEW YORK – Bradley Loliger, Esq, a Senior Attorney at the Center for Elder Law & Justice, was selected by the University at Buffalo, School of Social Work, as a 2023 recipient of the Louis H. Swartz Memorial Award. Loliger is one of three honorees who will be celebrated at the school’s Celebration of Excellence event on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4:30PM – 6:30PM at the Garret Club, located at 91 Cleveland Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14222.

The Louis H. Swartz Memorial Award was established in 2017 and honors an outstanding University at Buffalo School of Law and Social Work alumna who has demonstrated a commitment and dedication to the ideals of social justice. The award includes a monetary amount of $500.

Loliger was nominated for his passionate devotion to guardianship work at the Center for Elder Law & Justice, where he started as a student in 2011 and returned as a staff attorney in 2013. He is responsible for handling day-to-day issues related to the nearly 100 persons for whom the Center serves as guardian, most of whom are living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Loliger helped start the Family Guardianship Support Project, which helps family members serving as guardian of their loved ones navigate the complex responsibilities involved. He also serves as Union Steward for the attorneys and paralegals who are members of Teamsters Local 264.

Loliger is a member of the National Guardianship Association and the Bar Association of Erie County. He also serves as an Elections Inspector for the Erie County Board of Elections and chairs the Church Council at Christ United Methodist Church. Loliger is also an active member of the Arora Players, a local community theater group.
