Join us for an informative presentation from Center for Elder Law & Justice’s PrideLaw program and Empire Justice Center exploring self-determination and empowering Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Non-Binary adults to make informed decisions about their lives, rights, and futures.

Topics covered include name changes and identity documents, a brief overview of anti-discrimination laws, with focus on the right to use preferred name and pronouns in healthcare settings, as well as healthcare proxies and other advance planning documents.

 Attendees will learn how to pursue a name change and the benefits of advanced planning for LGBTQIA individuals and families.
